Here's an Easter Gift just for you and your family:
Life Forever
(reprinted from Little Lamb's Big Book)
“Little Lamb, called God. “Your work is almost finished. Go into the dream world again. Your brothers need to know that life lasts forever.”
As Little Lamb entered the dream he could hear Miss Deer talking loudly. “But it was a miracle. For a holy instant Little Lamb, the other animals and I were in God’s real world and my broken leg was healed.”
“I don’t believe it,” yelled Antelope, his antlers quivering with anger.
“It was all a trick. Miracles can’t really happen and this is the only world there is!” And with that Antelope turned to Little Lamb. “It is all your fault for giving these wild ideas to the animals.”
In his anger Antelope lowered his antlers and butted Little Lamb, pushing him down to the ground. As Little Lamb fell his head hit a large stone and he lay very still.
For a moment there was frightened silence. Then Miss Deer began to cry. “Little Lamb is dead. Little Lamb is dead.” And she began to cry more loudly.
All the other animals began to gather around, some of them crying, but all of them frightened.
Through the mist of the dream Little Lamb watched his friends standing and crying around his body. Little Lamb spoke to God his Father without words, “What shall I do now Father? All my brothers are sad and frightened because I have left my body. They think that I have died and am alive no more.”
God spoke to Little Lamb,” Go back into the dream Little Lamb. Show them that the body is just part of the dream. Show them that they use the body for learning. Show them that I have truly made them perfect and that there is no death, only beautiful life.”
“My brothers,” called Little Lamb to his friends in their hearts. “There is no death, for I am still alive.”
Miss Deer looked around and said hopefully, “But where are you Little Lamb? I can hear your voice in my heart but I cannot see you. Your body is so quiet.”
And as the other animals also heard Little Lamb within their hearts and listened, Little Lamb said, “I am here with you always, even as our Father is always with you. I am in the air you breathe, the water you drink, the clouds you look at and the grass you stand on. I am in your hearts, for this is where God’s real world is. And here there is life forever.”
As the animals watched, Little Lamb’s body began to move slightly. His eyes began to flicker and his chest moved with deep breaths. Antelope exclaimed, “He lives! Little Lamb lives! He has come back to life.”
Little Lamb stood up slowly and smiled at all his friends. As he looked around he could see Miss Deer smiling with happiness and love. Antelope’s eyes were large with wonder and delight. And all the animals were quiet and filled with happy surprise.
“Truly,” said Antelope. “Miracles do happen for I can see now that God’s world is always around us.”
“Yes,” said Miss Deer. “And in God’s world we are all perfect.”
Little Lamb smiled at his friends and said, “Yes, our Father’s world is filled with love and beauty. And in His world there could never be death, only beautiful life which lasts forever.”
As the animals stood watching Little Lamb, a large beam of light fell on Little Lamb and he seemed to glow. And in their hearts all the animals could hear God’s Voice saying, “This is your brother in whom I am well pleased. Today you are in My real world together. Come and enjoy the beauty and love I give to all of you.
For I love each and every one of My children and give you all the gift of life
forever.”
