Mid Week Pick me up - Step 12 and ACIM

“Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics and to practice these principles in all our affairs.”

“I am among the ministers of God.”
A Course in Miracles, Workbook, page 288
“Give them a place of refuge, prepared by love for them where once a desert was. And everyone you welcome will bring love with him from Heaven for you. They enter one by one into this holy place, but they will not depart as they had come, alone. The love they brought with them will stay with them, as it will stay with you. And under its beneficence your little garden will expand, and reach out to everyone who thirsts for living water, but has grown too weary to go on alone.”
A Course in Miracles, Text, page 392

These are my thoughts for you:
You are the gift to others merely by the joy you bring to every situation. With the Holy Spirit’s help, each challenge becomes an opportunity for forgiveness and release. You then overflow with the light of gratitude for each person who enters your life. This forms a golden glow, unseen by the eye, but felt by the heart. This radiance goes with you and is offered to all.
Through the demonstration of your life you prove that there is a better way to live. You, then, are the holy Alternative for approaching life and the people in it. The single light lit within your breast now shines brighter each day as your faith, through practice grows. Your living example becomes as irresistible as the flame to the moth, and so you need not do or say anything specific. You need only be, and the inner blaze will draw those souls filled with darkness and pain, but questing for lightness of heart and mind to you.
Your role: Simply be vigilant for your own peace of mind. Allow the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the gifts each person offers you. Then joy and gratitude become the gifts you return to all. Released together, you and your brothers and sisters can begin to truly live!
